Overview Cheddr is an iPhone-only social sports prediction app operated by Cheddr Picks, Inc. Rather than casino games, it runs weekly "Pick'em" contests and leaderboards: players use free Cheddr Coins for entertainment and can be awarded Cheddr Cash, a separate currency that — after clearing playthrough — may be redeemed for prizes. It launched in January 2026 and is still effectively in beta. Participation is limited to U.S. adults in eligible states, and the app currently excludes 15 states. Player Reception There is almost nothing to judge from. Cheddr has no Trustpilot presence, and its App Store rating rests on only a handful of reviews that are both thin and mixed. Independent reviewers have flagged that customer support is not yet fully operational and has been unresponsive — a notable concern for any platform that pays prizes. No one has an established payout record with Cheddr that we can point to. Current Highlights Genuinely free-to-play: weekly sports pick'em contests across NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA and soccer, with no purchase required to enter or win. A mail-in Alternative Method of Entry credits five Cheddr Cash per valid card, with a generous per-period allowance — a reasonable free path on paper. A simple, sports-fan-friendly format for players who prefer predictions over slots. These are advertised features taken from the app and its rules; none is yet confirmed through real redemptions. Areas to Watch Support isn't ready. Customer support is described as not yet open and unresponsive, leaving players little recourse if a redemption stalls. Punishing playthrough. Each Cheddr Cash credit carries its own "track-based" playthrough, and if a track is depleted before it clears, those funds are gone for good — an unusually unfavorable structure. High redemption bar, unproven payouts. A $50 minimum (and $500 per-withdrawal cap) sits alongside payout methods still described as being rolled out, with no confirmed payout history. Immature compliance signals. The excluded-states list omits several states most sweeps operators restrict (Delaware, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey). Short forfeiture window. Cheddr Cash can be forfeited after just 30 days of inactivity. Verification friction. Phone verification at signup and identity/tax checks before prizes are standard, but combined with unproven support they could slow first redemptions. Track Record Essentially none. Cheddr launched in January 2026 and remains in an early, beta-stage rollout, and Cheddr Picks, Inc. has no track record we can verify. Until players confirm completed redemptions, any judgment about reliability would be speculation. SweepsGuard Status We are listing Cheddr as under review while it exits beta and builds an actual payout record. We cannot recommend it yet, and several of its terms give us pause. Players should treat it as experimental: expect the playthrough to be harsh, keep expectations modest, wait for support to be confirmed active before relying on redemptions, and document every interaction. We will assign a formal grade once payouts and support are proven.
