Club WPT Gold earns a D grade from SweepsGuard. Independent review of Club WPT Gold: payouts, complaints, bonuses — and is it legit?
SweepsGuard Grade: D.
SweepsGuard grades Club WPT Gold a D based on its complaint and payout history — a below-average grade, so play cautiously and review its complaint history first. Always read its official sweepstakes rules and play responsibly.
Overview ClubWPT Gold sells itself on the World Poker Tour name, and the first thing worth knowing is who is actually on the other side of the agreement. Registration binds you to Grand Cru Concepts Ltd, a company incorporated in Cyprus with a registered office in Nicosia. WPT Enterprises appears in the footer as the owner of the trademark and nowhere in the terms themselves. The platform went live in February 2025 and runs a dual-currency model: Hand Analysis credits bought with money, and Chips, which are the redeemable side. In September 2025 it replaced its original Gold Coin structure with a "hand analysis" training product built on Upswing Poker technology, a change widely read as a response to tightening state rules. The games are No-Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha, in ring games and tournaments, plus satellites into live WPT events, and since January 2026 a luck-based casino game called Poker Master under its own tab. As of the terms dated August 7, 2026, the excluded states are Arizona, Connecticut, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Tennessee and Washington. Nevada is now out too. In September 2026 ClubWPT Gold said it was leaving Nevada because of state regulatory action, stopped Nevada deposits right away, and set September 28, 2026 as the last day of Nevada play and October 2 as the deadline for Nevada players to redeem. Canada is eligible except Quebec. Support is a knowledge base and a ticket form; there is no live chat. Player Reception Sentiment is poor and has not improved. The platform's own Trustpilot profile is still unclaimed and every published review on it is negative, though the volume there is thin enough that the profile alone settles little. The larger body of feedback sits on the legacy ClubWPT profile, where players review the Gold product by name. One complaint recurs and is unusually specific: players describe winning normally, then running into a sharp and sustained run of losses immediately after submitting a redemption request, with several saying they canceled the withdrawal and started winning again. That account turns up repeatedly across players with no apparent connection to one another. Around it sit the more ordinary grievances, mainly payout delays, reverification demanded at the moment of redemption, and support that reads as scripted. Poker review outlets are warmer, crediting soft competition and a reasonable rake while flagging basic software with no table chat and no built-in hand history display. Strengths The terms and the no-purchase-necessary rules are published in full, carry a date, and can be read without an account. What those documents disclose about the operating company and about the redemption floor is a separate matter, and it is below. When Arizona and Tennessee closed, players got advance notice, purchases were switched off first, and a redemption window was left open before gameplay ended. That is the orderly version of a forced exit, and it is not how every operator has handled one. Major Issues The counterparty is not the brand. The World Poker Tour association is what sells the platform, but the company holding player funds is Grand Cru Concepts Ltd of Nicosia, Cyprus, and a player who signs up on the strength of the WPT name is contracting with someone else entirely. The redemption floor is discretionary. The current terms let the company set a minimum threshold, giving 100 Chips as its own example, at its sole discretion. A twenty-dollar floor is still widely quoted for this platform, including in our own earlier assessment of it, and it does not appear anywhere in the operator's document today. Once a redemption is approved it can take up to ten business days to reach a bank account, with no visible status while it runs. The redemption-timing pattern players report is the single biggest reason for caution here. We cannot establish a cause from the outside, and normal variance produces losing runs. What is hard to set aside is how consistent the same account is across unrelated players. Winnings are capped in two states: in New York and Florida, any prize above a five thousand dollar redemption value is reduced to that figure. The Trustpilot profile is unclaimed and the operator has not answered a single review on it. There is no live chat. Everything routes through a knowledge base, an automated answer bot and a ticket form, which is thin for a platform holding redeemable balances. Track Record Eighteen months in, the record is mixed and the direction is not encouraging. The World Poker Tour name still carries real weight in poker, but it is doing less work here than it appears to: the brand licenses the name while a Cyprus company runs the platform, and our own earlier assessment of this site leaned on an institutional backing that the agreement does not actually describe. The September 2025 restructure into a hand-analysis product, and the state exits that followed, show an operator working hard to stay inside a narrowing set of rules. Arizona's gaming regulator issued a cease and desist in July 2026 and the platform left the state; Tennessee ended in May 2026 ahead of that state's ban. Both were handled with notice, which counts for something. Against that sits a redemption floor that has moved sharply in the operator's favor, a processing window that has lengthened, and a body of player complaint about withdrawals that has not thinned out over time. SweepsGuard Status We have not received a formal complaint about ClubWPT Gold. That is worth saying plainly, because the concerns here come from public review platforms rather than from cases on our desk. It does not make them less serious: the redemption-timing reports are consistent, specific, and come from players with no connection to each other, and that is a pattern we take seriously whether or not it has reached our form. This is not a platform we would steer a player toward at present. Anyone who does play should finish account verification before building a balance rather than after, avoid holding a meaningful balance while a redemption is pending, check the current excluded-state list before signing up because it has changed more than once this year, and understand that the company on the agreement is not the World Poker Tour. If a redemption stalls or an account is restricted without explanation, document it and bring it to us.
