SweepsGuard Grade: D.

Is Lonestar legit?

SweepsGuard grades Lonestar a D based on its complaint and payout history — a below-average grade, so play cautiously and review its complaint history first. Always read its official sweepstakes rules and play responsibly.

Overview LoneStar Casino is operated by RealPlay Tech Inc., the Delaware company behind RealPrize, and opened in March 2025. That lineage is real and worth stating: this is an established operator with an existing US track record, not an anonymous newcomer. The library runs to more than 625 titles from a strong roster including NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, Red Tiger, Playson and Kalamba, with an unusually good video poker selection and exclusive Spinnochio titles. It runs the standard Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins model and is available in 35 or more states. Sweeps Coins carry a single playthrough. Redemptions go out by bank transfer, gift card or Skrill, with a 45 Sweeps Coin minimum on gift cards and 100 for cash. Verification is required before any redemption. Player Reception Two things changed here, and they point the same way. Trustpilot has withdrawn LoneStar's rating. The LoneStar page there now shows no score, only a notice that the rating was pulled for breaching Trustpilot's guidelines, filed under the category Trustpilot uses for fake reviews. Our previous assessment cited a well-regarded Trustpilot score three separate times, including as the counterweight to the redemption problems below. That counterweight is gone. We are reporting Trustpilot's finding rather than adopting it, since we cannot see how it was reached and operators are not always the source of reviews about them, but we can no longer place weight on that sentiment and neither should a player. Separately, and independently of any review, redemption performance has degraded. Payouts that once cleared in three to four days now routinely run three to four weeks. Players who use promotional offers are over-represented in the reports, and some describe bonuses being restricted without explanation. The VIP program advertises expedited redemptions and is not delivering them: VIP accounts are waiting as long as standard ones. Strengths A named, established operator with an existing US track record through its sister brand. A strong library, including several top-tier studios and a video poker selection that is rare in this category. Three redemption routes rather than one: bank transfer, gift card or Skrill. A single playthrough on Sweeps Coins before redemption. It does pay. Our most recent case ended with the player receiving their money. Major Issues Redemption times have gone from three to four days to three to four weeks. That is the defining change in the player experience here and it is not disputed. The VIP tier sells expedited redemptions it is not providing. Players paying in for priority handling are waiting the same as everyone else. Additional documentation, including bank details and tax forms, is sometimes requested weeks into a pending redemption rather than at the start, extending an already long wait. Support replies during delays are generic and rarely move anything forward. Players who use promotions report having them restricted or withdrawn without a stated reason. The public review record is under a Trustpilot warning and shows no rating, removing an independent check a player would otherwise have. Critical Issues A Texas player waited about a month on a $3,037 redemption with no explanation. We raised it and LoneStar replied inside a day, then declined to discuss the account at all and directed the player back to the support queue that had already failed him. We record that as a refusal to engage rather than silence: they were reachable and chose to disclose nothing. On a sum that size, that is the most serious thing on this page. Track Record Mixed and worth reading carefully, because the picture is not uniformly bad. In September a Colorado player came to us over a $52.54 gift card that had run past LoneStar's own thirty-day window with his emails unanswered. We raised it on the third and he confirmed payment on the fourth. That is the first case on our record here to end with the player paid, and it matters: the money exists and the operator does release it. What it also shows is that a player had to escalate outside the site to get a small gift card moving after the advertised window had already passed. Set beside the $3,037 case the operator would not discuss, the pattern is not an operator that refuses to pay. It is one whose redemption process has slowed badly, whose stated service levels are not being met, and whose support does not resolve things without outside pressure. SweepsGuard Status This is not a site we would point a player to at the moment, and the reason is timing and communication rather than solvency. LoneStar is a real operator with a good product and it does pay out. But a three to four week wait is not what it advertises, a VIP tier selling priority is not delivering it, and on the largest sum brought to us the operator declined to say anything at all. If you are waiting on a LoneStar redemption, allow the full thirty days and keep the request open. Do not cancel and re-place it, because that restarts the clock. Complete verification and have your documents ready before you request, so a document request weeks in does not add another wait. If you pass thirty days with nothing, bring it to us. A sustained return to timely payouts, and a VIP tier that does what it sells, would move this back.
