Overview Novig launched in 2024 as a sweepstakes-based peer-to-peer sports prediction exchange, where players traded against one another rather than against a house. In August 2026 it completed a move off the sweepstakes model entirely. Novig now runs a federally regulated event-contract exchange through Ludlow Exchange, LLC , the entity the CFTC designated a contract market on June 16, 2026. Novig is the parent company; Ludlow Exchange is the regulated exchange underneath it, and it clears through Bitnomial. Where It Operates Novig is open in 47 states plus Washington D.C. It is not available in Arizona, Michigan or Nevada . Eligibility runs off where you physically are when you trade, not where you live, and the minimum age is 21. New York is unsettled: Novig sued the state on August 5, 2026 to stop it applying its sports betting laws to event contracts, and no ruling had come down when we last checked. What Changed for Players This is a change of product, not a rebrand. There are no Sweeps Coins to collect or redeem at Novig anymore, no sweepstakes rules governing play, and no free mail-in (AMOE) entry, because there is no longer a sweepstakes to enter. The site now runs on exchange rules and a separate member agreement, and existing accounts were asked to review and accept new terms before continuing. What Happened to Player Balances Player funds were not disrupted at any point during the transition. Existing account holders were given a clear choice at the changeover: accept the new terms and continue trading, or close the account and withdraw their balance. We have no complaints on file against Novig from the sweepstakes period or from the transition itself.
