Wagr earns a C grade from SweepsGuard. Independent review of Wagr: payouts, complaints, bonuses — and is it legit?
SweepsGuard Grade: C.
SweepsGuard grades Wagr a C based on its complaint and payout history — a middle-of-the-road grade — a real operator with a mixed or thin track record, so check its complaint history before you play. Always read its official sweepstakes rules and play responsibly.
Overview Wagr is a real-money skill gaming app run by WagrGames Inc, out of Newark, Delaware. It is not a sweepstakes casino. There are no Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins and no mail-in entry. You deposit cash, pay an entry fee, and play another person live in arcade games like Pocket Pool, Mini Golf and Knock Soccer, or post a score in solo contests. Match prizes run from $1 to $200. There is also Wagr Picks, where you pick More or Less on player stats across the NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC and other sports. Free play uses Stars, and new accounts start with 50. Deposits go through card, bank or Cash App. Withdrawals go to card or bank, with a $10 minimum in winnings, a $500 weekly limit and a 5 to 10 business day processing window. Expect ID checks before your first payout, and the Terms say a W-9 may be required. The Terms block Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana and South Carolina, and players must be 18 or older. Player Reception There is no Trustpilot profile yet, so the public record is thin. The best signal so far is a Reddit thread from skill gaming players who moved over from Triumph. Several say they have cashed out real money, and they describe the same $10 minimum and a weekly cap of around $500 to $750. The complaints there were about lag and limited deposit options at the time, not about payouts. We have not seen any reports of withheld winnings or closed accounts. Strengths Players report being paid. Several Reddit users describe successful withdrawals. A $10 minimum withdrawal, which is low for any app that pays cash. A free Stars mode, so you can learn the games before you put money in. Open in every state except Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana and South Carolina, including California and New York, because it runs as skill contests rather than sweepstakes. Minor Issues The weekly withdrawal limit is $500. Players say support will raise it if you deposit regularly, but it is not written anywhere. The Terms call the company both an Inc and a Delaware limited liability company. A small drafting error, but it should be fixed. The app is new and has no Trustpilot profile, so there is little independent history to judge it on. Major Issues Only winnings can be withdrawn, and the wallet says withdrawing forfeits your unplayed and promotional balance. If you deposit $50, play $10 of it and then cash out a win, the $40 you never played is gone. Play down your deposit before you withdraw, and do not deposit more than you plan to use. Wagr Picks is a pick'em product, and several states restrict or ban pick'em contests even where skill games are allowed. The Terms only block four states, so players in states that have moved against pick'em should check their own state's rules before using Picks. Track Record Wagr has been taking players since at least early 2026, and the Terms were last revised on October 23, 2026. Early payout reports are positive and we have no complaints on file. That is a short window, and the forfeit rule on withdrawals is the main thing we will be watching in player reports. SweepsGuard Status Wagr appears to pay its winners, and it is one of the few cash options open in California and New York. The withdrawal rules are strict, though. Read the forfeit rule before you deposit, keep deposits small, and cash out only once your unplayed balance is used up. We will update this review as more payout reports come in, up if the early record holds and down if withdrawal problems show up.
Wagr holds a C grade from SweepsGuard as of Oct 31, 2026.
