Weekly Sweeps Digest — September 21–27, 2026

Big week for grades. We went back through a lot of sites and most of them moved down, a few a long way. Two regulator stories too, one out of Florida and one out of Alabama.

⚖️ Legislation

Florida's AG went after the ad platforms. On September 25 James Uthmeier sent letters to Google, Meta, Reddit, Snap and TikTok saying they may be advertising illegal sweepstakes casinos, and named Stake, Chumba, LuckyLand and Global Poker. His reading of Florida law is that advertising them is a crime. The platforms have until October 23 to confirm they've stopped. This comes a month after he sued Stake and VGW. VGW gave $100,000 to Tommy Tuberville , the U.S. senator running for Alabama governor, in late August, on top of $30,000 in March. It showed up in September filings. Alabama has no sweeps ban, but an old state law lets players sue to recover gambling losses, and dozens of those suits have been filed against sweeps sites this year. Oklahoma, November 1. SB 1589 bans dual-currency casinos. If you play from Oklahoma, redeem before then.
