VGW settled with New York for $8 million. The Attorney General's office found that Chumba, Global Poker and LuckyLand were unlawful online gambling in New York, because players effectively got about one Sweeps Coin per dollar spent and could redeem them for cash. It is an Assurance of Discontinuance, so VGW neither admits nor denies breaking the law, but the state can prosecute if the terms are broken. New York had already pushed them out with a cease and desist in June 2025. Next date on the calendar is still Oklahoma, November 1 .
